Parents will know that sometimes you can tell your kids not to do something, you can show them why it’s a bad idea, you can warn them they’ll get hurt – but they go and do it anyway.
Well that’s kind of like dealing with the green left.
Like children with a fun new game to play, they run down a path chasing a green utopia powered by dreams, happy thoughts and renewable energy, gleefully ignoring the warning signs and failures of renewables overseas.
And now, as electricity prices skyrocket, they wander about like scared children looking for an adult to fix the problem.
Less than 3 weeks into Labor’s new term, they’re looking for some coal to burn and a scapegoat to blame. Promises of that wonderful green utopia out the door at the first sign of trouble.
It’s time we all acknowledge the failed experiment in renewables, and look for a better, cheaper, more reliable way to power our nation into the future.
If only someone was calling for this earlier…
“The reckless rush into the unproven, uncosted world of renewable energy in [South Australia] represents both the deceased canary down a renewable energy coal mine, and a masterclass of failed policy from a failed former Labor government.”
– Me, during my maiden speech way back in 2019.
In that speech I made a point of noting the great potential of South Australia, and the nation, to become a world leader in nuclear energy.
We are sitting on about a third of the world’s uranium supply, more than enough to power us, our neighbours, and arguably the entire planet well into the future.
This is clean, emission free, cost effective energy that the South Australian Nuclear Fuel Cycle Royal Commission determined had enough evidence of safety and technological improvements that the state could safely increase its participation in nuclear activities.
As I stated in my 2019 speech: “Comparing the old tech generators to the future of nuclear power is like comparing a Motorola DynaTAC mobile phone from 1983 to a brand new iPhone”.
If the Greens, Labor, the teals or anyone else was actually serious about achieving their “Net Zero” policy and avoiding an energy crisis and potential energy calamity, the plainly obvious answer is for Australia to lead the way with nuclear power generation.
That they still won’t consider the option, exposes them as the fear mongering climate charlatans that you and I have known them to be all along.
Nuclear energy production can help address issues from the cost of living to national security, essential to our safety and survival as we move into increasingly troubled times.
Nuclear energy is the silver bullet to the left’s renewables scam, and it’s the key to Australia’s prosperity in the future.
The best time to have started down this path in Australia was 20 years ago – the second best time is right now.
Former prime minister Scott Morrison may retire from parliament by the end of the year with hopes of potentially taking up a key international consulting post.......He was a nothing P.M....WEAK & FECKLESS...and now RUNNING AWAY from the Country he helped destroyed, JUSTICE needs to be served and SCOMO needs to be around to answer for his COWARDICE.
